Without this buffer, the door will just swing shutwithout notice. This buffer and metal nose piece fit all 190SL and the two door 220S/SE cars. also fits the four door Ponton cars. The check assembly itself is quite different externally from the two door cars. But the function is the same and the buffer is identical for the four door cars. So essentially, this buffer with the steel nose piece, fits ALL Ponton cars two or four door.
